Nonprofits need financial capital to create and sustain beneficial programs. Grant funding is a special financial capital source that nonprofits are uniquely poised to take advantage of. Grant opportunities are abundant but many of them aren’t good fits for a nonprofit. Filtering prospective good fits out from the noise is necessary for a nonprofit to take advantage of the opportunities available. Regenerating Sonora is a small team with a volunteer board that doesn’t have the capacity to do the work needed to find good grants. At the same time, Regenerating Sonora needs to develop organizational capabilities to find and win grants that will support the mission of the organization, therefore, this position was created. Currently, we’re looking for grants to fund our: Natural Capital Initiative, community development center, and after school program.
